It's hard not to fall in love with Belgium! This small and lovely country has a rich culture and history, full of fascinating facts and world’s records, from being the globe’s main diamond centre (in Antwerp) to being the 1st exporter of chocolate in the world.
And since we are all about roads and trips these days, we were thrilled to discover and drive on the country’s motorway. After all, due to the massive amount of lights, the Belgian highway system is the only man-made structure visible by night from the Moon. Moreover, Belgium is in the top 3 countries worldwide with the most vehicles per square kilometres, and it has the highest density of roads and railroads in the world.
This is at least one more reason why we love Belgium – it is our home these days for the VITA lighting European Tour. Today, October 2, we are visiting Genk, a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg, between Antwerp and Liège. It is also the country’s youngest city and an example of multiculturalism, with more than half of the inhabitants having foreign origins.
In Genk, you can find us only today, at Prenuptia (Hasseltweg 240). Our “showroom on wheels”, the VITA Van, will gladly show you our brand new designs from 12:00 to 18:00.
On Sunday, October 4, you can visit us in Lier, also nicknamed the "Little Bruges". You can spot us, during the same hours as in Genk, at Gero Wonen (Aarschotsesteenweg 151). Hope to see you all! But if somehow our paths won’t cross these days in Belgium, we have another great news: we will come back! From October 30 and until November 7, we will be in Gent and Antwerp. Find out the exact dates and locations here!
